The History of Bravado

In 2019, during the transition from our 2.0 ruleset to our current 3.0 ruleset, the Dystopia Rising game network collectively did a 3 year timeskip forward in our narrative setting. These 3 blog posts represent the updates over that time that summarized what changed in our local setting.

We played 5 total live games from September 2019 through February 2020. On the day of our March 2020 event we were forced to cancel game due to the quarantine procedures enacted as a result of the Covid-19 Pandemic. From April 2020 through May 2021 we switched to virtual formats to continue our stories, and used that time and those narrative opportunities to tell nuanced stories about our surrounding Geography and Settlements.

Prior to returning to live games in September 2021, we produced a guide on The State of Bravado that provides narrative support for folks who are veterans of the game, returning players who haven’t played since 2.0, and folks who are new to all of this.
