Returning Player Campaign
We’ve been going through some of our old photos from over the years, and we realized there are a lot of faces we missed. We know folks move away or find other things that take their time, but as the time increases away from Bravado, we know it becomes harder to return. Your gear expires, plot progresses, and maybe your friends stopped coming out as much, too. We can’t help with the real-world stuff, but we can make it easier for you to dive back in.
If you’ve attended less than two (2) live games since September 2019 (basically any live game since the introduction of 3.0), we’d love to have you back out.
When you come back out, here’s what you can expect:
Your choice of any two (2) Master tier, non-vehicle items (gizmo, weapon, armor, or shield). You can come back armed and ready to deal with the zombie apocalypse, or simply make sure you have a Doctor’s Bag or other useful tool for your profession.
One (1) Blue Plate Special. This is a full Mind Point refreshing consumable meal normally purchased from with Community Action Points, which replaced the old Assistance Points from 2.0. When you eat this single-use meal, you recover ALL of your spend Mind Points.
One (1) San Saba Sundry, of your choice. These are unique single-use local Faction items to give you an edge, and they come with a neat Whataburger-style Illustrated Item Card.
One (1) Master Red Mist Healing Injection. This is a quick healing brew that can be used even while you are in Bleed Out. It’s a necessity to survive the dangerous hordes of zombies and raiders!
Start with Basic Faction Membership of your choice. Contracted work is law in the San Saba, and basic membership represents work done while away. If you already have a Faction Membership, you can add another at the Basic level.
Encouragement to join the New Player Mod (Friday night at 10pm). This gives you a low pressure opportunity to practice skill calls you may be unfamiliar with, and meet other returning and new players. We prefer to seed unique plot information, or side quests and adventure on this mod, so this is a great way to collaborate and dive into the weekend’s story. Our New Player Guides will be available before the event as well to help ease your return and answer any questions you may have.
Buy your ticket here, and in the notes section at checkout, include that you’re a returning player. This will help us connect with you and make sure you have all of your items.
If you’re a current player, here’s how you can support the return of your friends. If you bring out a returning player, we’ll give you 40 CAPs. Just make sure your friend gives us your name so we can make sure to give you the CAPs. You can also join the new player mod as a PC to help your pal, or as an NPC. If you choose to NPC that mod (on top of your normal NPC shift), we’ll give you an additional 40 CAPs for helping out.
Regardless if you’re a 10 year veteran or you’re a first time player, DR TX has a culture of treating everyone’s game as though it’s their first. To us, that means giving grace to each other in the play space whether in combat, with rules questions, or role play scenes. We make a habit to extend to every player the inclusion and understanding we extend to our new players, including veterans and returning players.
