DR Live Item Transfers

Dystopia Rising Live is here!

It’s time to trade in your old 3.0 items as part of our Item Exchange.  This next part will require a bit of homework on your end to help this go smoothly, but our goal is to swap all items to new versions during our February event if possible. This is a BIG PROJECT, so we appreciate your patience as we finish the last step of preparation for DR Live.

ITEM CONVERSION SUBMISSIONS ARE OPEN NOW! SUBMIT YOUR ITEMS HERE!

DR:L Item Transfer Spreadsheet

Here’s the run down:

Right click on the tab at the bottom of the screen, and click DUPLICATE

  • For item card collection, you’ll need to submit all of your crafted items via a Google Spreadsheet. Here, you’ll be able to create and edit your own tabs for each character you’d like items transferred for!

    • For each character, you’ll create a NEW TAB, formatted as “[PLAYER NUMBER] [CHARACTER NAME]” (I.e. “19807 Redline”)

    • Right Click on the tab at the bottom to create a new page. We’ve locked the example tabs, so hopefully you can simply make a new tab.

  • If you have an excessive amount of crafted items, or have a list of items that are complicated to transfer (no 1:1, long list of non-existent blueprints, a ton of crafted items that do not have 1:1 from buy lists, etc) please email us with additional context about your items, and how you are wanting them transferred. We will do our best to accommodate your requests while remaining fair to everyone.

  • Here are the types of items you’ll need to document for this transition: Armor, Weapons, Shields, Vehicles, Gizmos, Brews, Injected Brews, Area Augments, Blueprints, and Traps.

    1. No Transfer Needed: Herb, Scrap, Produce. Any Herb or Produce will retain the same expiration date, and any Scrap without an expiration date will count as though they have a year expiration date. After February 2026 we will no longer accept any scrap cards that do not have an expiration date on them. Over the rest of the season, we will slowly cycle out these cards, so try to use them first!

    2. Items That No Longer Exist: LPC’s, any card with a Custom Mechanic, Forage and Salvage cards, War Supplies, and Amaranthite. If you have these cards, they are souvenirs now!

As a quick note, if you are a Crew Leader and are interested in transferring all of your Crew’s items at once, please reach out! This would save us lots of time by handling large bulk submissions, and then allowing you to distribute those items to your crew members as needed.

  • If your Crew decides to opt for a Crew Transfer, you do not need to submit your own individual tab for your items. If you have additional characters that are not in that Crew, you will need to submit tabs for your additional character(s).

Here’s what each tab should look like, with the drop down menu to keep the item types easy.

Here is the formatting you’ll need to follow for Item Card Submission:

  • ITEM TYPE

  • ITEM NAME

  • # OF USES (IF NEEDED)

  • EXPIRATION DATE

  • NUMBER OF ITEMS (ie, how many Red Mist do you have with the same expiration date)

    • This should be based on having the same expiration date - If you have two brews with the same name, and different dates, create TWO separate lines

An EXTREMELY IMPORTANT NOTE for Item Formatting: Please use the FULL NAME of the item that you are turning in when you document it! This is immensely helpful for sorting purposes, and short handed versions (I.e “Todd’s” versus “Uncle Todd’s Healing Brew”) can cause issues on the back end.

Here’s an example of what a filled out spreadsheet tab should look like when you are finished!

Blueprint Exchange

Blueprints will be a bit more complicated in the transfer process.

  • There’s almost 100 different Blueprints that did not make the transition to DR Live. Because so many prints are obsolete, we need to provide a way to select new choices as part of the Item Exchange - Blueprint Vouchers!

    • These Vouchers will be on an item card with a label, and can be turned in during any DR:TX event through the end of the season for a Blueprint of your Choice. This is technically a “Local Plot Card”, so you can’t use these outside of a Texas event, and if you haven’t used it by the end of the season, sorry!

  • Several items were renamed or slightly changed in the new DR Live version. We’ve included a Conversion List for your reference, if an item does not have a 1 to 1 conversion we have listed what you will receive instead. If your item is not on this list, then it has a direct 1 to 1 conversion! We have also included a list of Removed Blueprints, so you can see whether or not you will receive a 1:1 Conversion or a Blueprint Voucher.

  • Blueprints will be transferred over on a 1:1 basis as best as we can. If you turn in a Blueprint that no longer exists, you will instead receive a Blueprint Voucher that you can exchange at the Post Office for any Blueprint of your choice.

    • There are about 200 new or changed Blueprints in DR Live, so this is a good opportunity to pick some of those up!

Item Transfers During the February Game

If you can’t fill out the Spreadsheet before the event, that’s okay! We know we will have several players that need to do an Item Transfer during the February event, so here’s how we will handle that process:

NOTE: We will NOT be doing any Item Exchange at check-in.

  • During the event, we will be opening the window in the Depot (the Cafeteria), and will have that window function as a separate space from the Post Office that is exclusively for Item Transfers. We’ll be calling this the Kitchen Sink Exchange! (Thanks Joel!)

    • We’ll be opening additional 2 hour shifts for Guides and ST’s on a volunteer basis, as these shifts will likely be non-stop work. (I’ll give you double the CAPs for working these shifts, since they will be intensive!)

    • At this window, you'll be able to transfer up to 3 items at a time before having to go back to the end of the line. This will allow you to get a few things together quickly like a piece of armor, a weapon, and a brew to get you on your feet!

    • If you have submitted your items beforehand on the spreadsheet, this is also where you’ll be able to pick them up. At the Kitchen Sink Exchange, the Guide will verify that the items you’ve listed in your exchange are correct, take those items from you, and then give you a packet of your new items.

    • Again, we will NOT be doing any Item Exchange at check-in.

      • If you have already submitted all of your items prior to the event, we will do our best to have all of your cards prepared beforehand, so you can do your full item exchange all in one interaction!

      • If you turn in your spreadsheet late, we will do our best to get the items ready in advance, but this is a BIG PROJECT and a lot of work outside of the event. Please be patient, reasonable, and show us a bit of grace if we don’t get your transfers done in time!

That’s it for today, Vados!
